Mike's Chipotle BBQ Chicken Burgers
Stuffed burgers are so darned delicious, but you'll get a double flavor whammy with the addition of the chipotle and barbecue sauce mixed with the chicken burgers. We love it when the cheese is on the inside.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 4 tablespoons chipotle powder
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 3 teaspoons bbq sauce
- 2 ounces cream cheese
Cooking Directions
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, 2 tablespoons chipotle powder, bread crumbs, and bbq sauce. Hand mix, but not too much, keeping the meat lumpy.
- Form 4 quarter pound patties.
- To a small mixing bowl, add cream cheese and remaining chipotle powder. Mix well.
- Divide cream cheese mixture in two and top two of the burger patties.
- Form a second patty over the top and seal the edges, effectively encasing the cream cheese within the chicken burger.
- Grill over medium heat about 12-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through, flipping once about half way through.
- Serve with extra bbq sauce!
