Jalapeno Wing Sauce Recipe - Basic
Wing sauce recipes boil down to a couple of basic ingredients: hot sauce and butter. In theory, you can combine equal amounts of your favorite hot sauce with melted butter, coat some prepared hot wings and you're good to go. However, we prefer to include the beautiful jalapeno pepper in our jalapeno wing sauce recipe because we're simply mad about jalapeno peppers. Could you tell?
Ingredients
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup favorite hot sauce (Frank's Red Hot Sauce is popular)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Plenty of cooked chicken wings
Cooking Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine jalapeno pepper, hot sauce and melted butter. Mix well.
- Transfer to a large plastic bag.
- Add cooked chicken wings and toss to coat.
- Serve!
NOTE: You can also use this jalapeno wing sauce to coat raw chicken breasts or strips, and then grill as needed. Brush the chicken often during grilling, and reserve enough (slightly heated) to top the grilled chicken before serving.
