Sweet and Spicy Grilled Apples
This sweet dessert recipe is quick to prepare. You can fire the grill back up as your guests finish up their meal, or toss them on at the end to serve them along with the main meal, which we like to do. Chipotle spices bring in some delicious smoky heat. Also, instead of serving them as a dessert, try them on top of grilled burgers or turkey burgers as a sweet and spicy garnish, as oppposed to plain old ketchup and mustard.
Ingredients
- 1 large green apple
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chipotle powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Cooking Directions
- Core the apple and slice it to 1/8th inch thick slices.
- Add apple slices to a large mixing bowl and add remaining ingredients. Toss to coat.
- Heat a grill to medium heat and grill the apple slices about 90 seconds each side.
- Serve!
