Jalapeño and Green Apple Salsa
Here's a quick combination that's both spicy and sweet, flavors that go well together. Pull back on the onion and honey if you want to focus on the apple and jalapeno pepper combination, but it's all good just the same.
Ingredients
- 2 large jalapeno peppers, minced
- 3 large green apples, peeled and cored, grated
- 3 tablespoons green onions, minced
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons lemon peel, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add grated apples with green onions and jalapeno peppers.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together lemon juice, honey, and lemon peel.
- Add to jalapeno apple mixture.
- Season salsa to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve!
